long time, no post...

well, it's been well over 6 mos since my last post. we have been busy and a lot of things have changed.

we now have a one year old! yes, little olivia is now one! i can't believe that it has been over a year since we have been blessed with her life. she's been walking now for over 2 mos and has a pretty extensive vocabulary for her age. she loves to "read" her books and take care of her baby abbey. she truly is one of the best things that has ever entered our lives.

as ben and i, we have recently moved in with his parents in an attempt to pay off all our bills and save for a home. we were just really tired of renting. it is certainly an experience living here, although we are grateful for the opportunity. i am finishing school ( i should be completed by this time next year!) and ben is preparing for his physical test for a firefighter position here in town. we are really praying that he gets this job. it will double our income and give ben a lot more time at home and allow me to finish school without worrying about finances the entire time. please keep us in your prayers!

Christmas!!

Christmas is almost here! We get to play Santa for the 1st time and also have our own 1st Christmas morning. We are excited to show off our little girl again ;) We are such proud parents!

This time of year, I personally remember all the friends and family I have lost and it makes this season bittersweet. I must say that I miss my grandpa, Carl, the most. There was just something special about him. He made Christmas seem magical. He was always so much fun to be around. My heart aches for his laugh or to hear him singing gospel hymns again. He would have just been tickled with our little Olivia. I'm kind of sad that she'll never get to know this sweet man. I know that he is Home and no longer in pain.

We have been cleaning and cleaning this week/weekend. I have been in some serious pain. The doctor said I have sciatica. So my lower back/left leg have been in a lot of pain and a little numb. It seems that I am having all the complications of pregnancy in my post-pregnancy state. I've been diligently doing my stretches and exercises in an attempt to feel much better in the shortest time possible.

I will post again after Christmas with lots of pictures!

Have a blessed Christmas!
